6-HIGH LEVELER / Strip Leveler / with Quick-Change System
- 18 Back-up Supports
- Digital Roll Adjustment (0.01 mm resolution)
- Gearbox renewed in 2021
- Quick-Change System
The quick-change system is mounted on a sliding plate. This sliding plateon which the leveling rolls as well as the entire back-up support assembly are mountedcan be extended, allowing for quick and easy roll replacement in an easily accessible position.
The extension and retraction of the sliding plate are hydraulically actuated. Connection to the drive mechanism is automatic.
- Intermediate Rolls
The intermediate rolls prevent the pattern of the back-up rolls from being imprinted onto the strip being leveled. This effect typically occurs because the leveling rolls become polished (smoothed) at the specific points where the back-up rolls make contact.
This differential surface roughness becomes visually apparent on the strip; streaks appear which remain visible even after the strip undergoes subsequent painting.
