Used Press brakes

Press brakes are used to edge or bend sheets. The two main components of press brakes are the punch and bending die. The edging process is actually quite simple. In the first step, a plate is pushed between the punch and bending die. Then, the punch of the press brakes is lowered and so the sheet is pushed with high pressure into the die.

The press brake is used primarily for the processing of metal sheets. With modern CNC controlled press brakes, for example, steel plates with several centimeters thickness can easily be processed.

Another possibility to process and bend sheet metal is the folding machine. The principal functions are similar to the press brake but the folding machine is mainly used for thinner sheet metal.

Modern CNC press brakes are equipped with a back gauge system with multiple controllable axes, due to the independently movable finger-stops, even angular stop angles are possible. The basic equipment of a used press brake includes a camber adjustment and a cam follower measuring system with resilience compensation.

Bending tools make the productivity of a used press brake more efficient - especially when processing large and heavy steel plates the operator is being supported and the process is simplified.
